Notes taken from the Apologetics Study Bible:-
Jude 1:9 alluded to traditions found in pseudepigraphal works (The assumption of Moses and/or the testament of Moses) in recounting the dispute over the burial of Moses. The notes also say that citing a quotation from another source does not indicate that the entire work is inspired even if the saying drawn upon is true.
I came upon this verse when I was listening to a christian radio program when someone asked if Michael the archangel is Jesus. In this verse, Michael the archangel is calling upon Jesus/God and shows that Michael is not Jesus.
We all need to study and read the word. When this is practiced every day we ourselves can answer the easier questions like this one mentioned about Michael/Jesus. Everything almost goes when people do not read, do not believe in the Bible or Christ. May God have mercy on these busy and unbelieving souls.
